Rainbow Kitten Surprise [CANCELLED] at Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Rainbow Kitten Surprise originally started off as a songwriting duo comprised of Ela Melo and Darrick Keller. The noticeable name came from a morphine-induced friend who recently just came out of surgery, which resulted in coming up with the band name. The eponymous Rainbow Kitten Surprise released an album that kicked off their career in 2018 called "How To: Friend, Love and Freefall." Making its way to Billboard's Alternative Songs Charts is their single, "Fever Pitch," which ranked up to 34th in the spring of that same year.

A notable step in their career came on January 2020 when the PBS Show Austin City Limits aired Rainbow Kitten Surprise in a half-hour set which they had recorded only the previous fall. This marked the start of their sound known for their instrumentation, harmonies, and especially thoughtful lyrics.

Back in 2019, they played at Red Rocks Amphitheater and completely sold out tickets in just mere 7 days. Now they're back and thriving along with The Brook and the Bluff, a Birmingham-born, Nashville-based band that deserves just the same title of a soul-filled indie rock band. The Brook and the Bluff are recognized for their groovy and evocative sound that will surely kick-start Rainbow Kitten Surprise's epic concert through the night.
