His 2012 single with Lewis, "Thrift Shop" feat. Wanz, became the first independently-released sing to top the Hot 100 chart. The track is now Diamond-certified by the RIAA, making it one of the most legendary hits of the decade. Their next single "Can't Hold Us" also hit #1, making them the first duo in Hot 100 history to ever have their first pair o singles reach the peak. He made music with Ryan Lewis up to 2016.
In June 2017, Macklemore returned with "Glorious" feat. Skylar Grey, and released his second solo album "Gemini" which featured his hit single "Good Old Days" with Kesha. In February 2023, he released his most recent record, "Ben".
