Zeds Dead at Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Canadian electronic music duo, Zeds Dead, comprises Dylan Mamid, a.k.a. DC, and Zachary Rapp-Rovan, a.k.a. Hooks. They emerged in 2009 and posted their remixes online, eventually amassing a massive following on the social media website, Myspace. Soon, the duo officially released their first single, “Journey of a Lifetime.” In the same year, the pair founded a weekly event called the Bassmentality, held in the basement of a Toronto bar. The event began bringing in various talents. And have official DJs on rotation. The weekly party hosted names like Skrillex, Nero, Borgoer, and Kamo & Krooked before they went big.

In 2010, Zeds Dead released their debut EP, Rudeboy. The duo also began embarking on national and international tours the same year. The following year, they performed more than 50 shows for the Graveyard Tour. In 2016, Zeds Dead founded their own label, Deadbeats. The label aims to provide a platform for the next generation of producers to grow, diversify, and gain more following. Since its inception, Deadbeats has grown tremendously and now has a roster of over 70 artists, which includes Peekaboo and, of course, Zeds Dead. In the same year their label was founded, the duo dropped their debut studio album, Northern Lights. The record peaked at number 6 on Billboard’s U.S. Dance chart and 5 on the Heatseekers chart.
