Red Rocks Amphitheater, located just outside of Denver and undoubtedly one of the most iconic venues on the planet, is so excited to have Yoga On The Rocks back here in the Amphitheater once again for another summer filled with yoga mats and morning workouts for our Colorado community. For over a decade, the early morning studio sessions have transformed our location into a unique and eclectic place to burn your morning calories and get your stretches in, and to connect with other like minded yogis who have a passion for their practice as well. We have multiple dates for our Yoga On The Rocks sessions all throughout the summer of 2025 - so make sure to grab your tickets for this June 7th class, led by Sheri Colosimo, and others that you can make it to!

Red Rocks was officially “built up” starting in 1936 by Great Depression era men who were looking for work at the time, but the monoliths that enclave the mountain have been around for millions of years - most likely formed during the Fountain Formation that causes geological upheaval during Laramide Orogeny - AKA when the mountains of the West coast formed over 40 million years ago. The igneous people of the Ute Tribe then used the location most likely in earlier times, and the location was officially rediscovered by the American government back in 1820, and continued to gain attention during the 19th century due to the Colorado Gold Rush. The Rocks as a venue was originally named Garden Of The Angels, and since the early 1900s has hosted a plethora of concerts and events for the general public and all of our viewing and listening pleasure. 

River Yoga Studio is the independently owned Denver based Yoga Studio that helps us put on Yoga On The Rocks every year for our yogi lovers out there - offering soothing and once in a lifetime experiences in the venue for all that attend one of the sessions. River Yoga offers world class teaching and guidance for anyone no matter where you are in your yoga practice, and at their studio offer Vinyasa, Hot Yoga, Deep Stretch and Meditation, Yin, and Candlelight classes for the entire Colorado community. They also host various workshops and retreats throughout the year if you want to find other ways to engage with the River crew outside of your session here at Yoga On The Rocks!
