Marking a huge milestone and a dream off of their lists, the beloved American indie rock band from Fernandina Beach — FLIPTURN is finally hosting a headlining night at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre. A few years back, the band described headlining a show at the venue was a dream for every artist, as they opened for Mt. Joy. Now, it’s their turn to host a night, sharing the stage with special guests Richy Mitch & The Coal Miners.
“For a long time whenever people have asked us what our dream venue is to play, we always said Red Rocks because of how iconic it is, for as long as I can remember really,” singer Dillon Basse shared with FOX31 Denver in 2023.
“Usually when you’re playing a show, you’re not used to looking up at people, you’re usually looking eye level or looking down. So to see this wave of 10,000 people staring down at you is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced playing music before,” he added.
It’s gotta be Colorado. Sharing how it’s one of their favorite states to play in, and how the crowd is simply awesome, the band made a promise that they’ll be back. Now, it’s finally coming into fruition. Be part of Flipturn’s rock-out history by turning up at their debut Red Rocks show.
Back in 2016, Flipturn was born out of jamming sessions in Madeline Jarman’s garage. By 2018, the band started gaining traction and booking tours, becoming one of the nation’s fast-rising names in indie rock music. Their 2018 EP “Citrona” was met with acclaim, further driving the fire in their hearts to keep rocking on.
In June 2022, they signed under Dualtone Records, and subsequently released their debut album “Shadowglow.” Followed by a U.S. tour and a series of festival appearances, Flipturn breezed through new chapters in their careers.
From “Burnout Days” in 2025 to high anticipation for new releases in 2026, the band is taking their time to offer everyone their very best. In the meantime, they’ve got a special treat for fans making their way to Colorado as they live the dream at the Red Rocks.
