Shrek 2: Back on the Big Screen

This year's Film on The Rocks will see the big return of Shrek 2 on the big screen. Witness Far Far Away land come serving up its magical quirks as Shrek, Fiona, and Donkey navigate the evil plans of Fairy Godmother, Harold, and Prince Charming. A story that never gets old, it's a crazy adventure that rocked cinemas and TV screen back in 2004. Now, its coming back to the Red Rocks for a special screening, celebrating its lasting impact and the crazy shockwaves it sent to the pop culture universe.

Just to refresh your memories, how big was Shrek 2 back in the day? Well, it's DreamWorks' highest-grossing film and even held the honor of being the highest-grossing animated film of all time till 2010. Two Academy Award nominations and its soundtrack charting in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200, everyone sure had a lot to love about the film.

Gaining an 89% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, its humor and whimsical characters make it a classic favorite.
