Following the release of his upcoming new album “Wishbone” out this August, the “Heather” hitmaker is all set to have people crying a river in amphitheaters as the summer heat dies down. On tour, the opening act will be led by Hemlocke Springs.

KICKING IT OFF WITH ‘THIS SONG’

Ahead of the release of his highly-anticipated album, Conan Gray released his newest single “This Song.” On the track, he shares another evolution to his sound, sharing melancholy and indie vibes driven by strings. Following last year’s critically-acclaimed “Found Heaven,” his upcoming release takes another detour from the boombastic & retro sound he introduced in the previous record. One single in, fans can’t wait to get their hands on the full LP. 

In a social media post, the young star revealed that he has actually been writing songs for the new project in secret for over two years now. “After shows in the basements of the venues, in the sheets of my hotel beds, in narrow gaps between tours, I’d come back home and write all the things I felt nobody wanted to hear,” Gray wrote. Reflecting how it might even be stuff that he didn’t want anyone to hear at the time, he eventually found peace and let his friends hear these songs, all of whom liked what he had created. 

“I started to need the music… . It felt like the music was reminding me who I am, at an experimental time in my twenties,” he continued. Starting to see who he is, it’s bound to be a reflective piece of art that shares Conan’s true heart.

The Wishbone Pajama show is an amphitheater tour — setting the vibe for Conan Gray’s emotionally-charged masterpieces.
