As mentioned, Brandi Carlile has become a favorite daughter of the Morrison crowd. There are plenty of good reasons for that. From the moment that she sings into a mic, her voice evokes that Americana vibe of old that's almost lost to time. Last year, she was accompanied by a full orchestra ensemble. Perhaps one of the reasons why Brandi Carlile keeps getting invited back to the Red Rocks isn't that people are hootin' and hollering when she's on stage. It's those incredible moments of silence, especially at the beginning of a song when she's playing a beat and getting ready to sing the first words. Those moments give everyone in the crowd goosebumps and make her an act you just can't afford to miss.
