Billy Strings at Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Billy Strings recently collaborated with Post Alone. Together, they performed a cover of “ Cocaine Blues” by Johnny Cash. This performance is just one of Billy Strings’ exciting works as a bluegrass and progressive musician. In 2021, Strings earned his first Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Album. His fourth studio album, Home, won the award in September 2019. The record was Strings' first breakthrough, topping Billboard’s Grass and Heatseekers chart. Meanwhile, Home peaked at number 11 on the Folk Album and number 41 on the Top Country Album charts. After the success of Home, Strings released his follow-up album Renewal. The 2021 effort entered the Billboard charts, including topping the Grass Albums chart.

Besides solo studio efforts, Strings also did a couple of collaborative albums, including his latest release, ME/AND/DAD, with Terry Barber. The highly-acclaimed album was preceded by two singles, “Long Journey” and “Life to Go.” Moreover, Strings was featured in 2022 projects, including “Dooley’s Farm” by Molly Tuttle and Golden Highway, “High Note” with Dierks Bentley, and “Road Trip” with Cory Wong. For his phenomenal work in 2021 and 2022, Strings earned the prestigious Artist of the Year Award at the Americana Music Honor & Awards. This award comes after the guitarist earned several accolades from the International Bluegrass Music Awards, including Guitarist of the Year in 2019.
