Beatrice Kristi Ilejay Laus, the talented heart behind the “beabadoobee” moniker, is an English singer-songwriter born in the Philippines, and moved to the UK at the age of three. Growing up in West London listening to Original Pilipino Music, alongside pop and rock hits from the 90s. Expelled from school at age 17 due to her “misfit behavior,” it’ll all make sense later on as she kept embracing her true heart for music. Playing the violin for 7 years before she got her hands on a second-hand guitar at 17, music always ran through her veins.
The first song she wrote was “Coffee,” gaining over 300,000 views when she released the track in September 2017. From then on, her journey in music came rushing in. Catching the attention of labels, music publications, and of course spawning an iconic remix by Powfu — one that became insanely viral, scoring her first chart entry.
Since then, she kept writing music, performing, and simply pouring her heart out in every record she made. We’ve got endearing hits like “Worth It,” “Last Day on Earth,” “Glue Song,” “The Perfect Pair,” “The Way Things Go,” and “Beaches.”
