The Avett Brothers’ Red Rocks Residency returns this July for three incredible nights of folk rock and Americana at the legendary Morrison, Colorado Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

A 3-Day Pass will grant entry to all three nights of The Avett Brothers’ residency with different opening acts each night. On Friday, July 10th, join us for an unforgettable night of folk rock as The Mountain Goats open for The Avett Brothers. Then on Saturday, July 11th, Asleep At The Wheel will get the crowd on their feet for an evening of Western swing to open for The Avett Brothers. And finally, Legendary Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Graham Nash of The Hollies and Crosby, Stills & Nash will wrap up the residency on Sunday, July 12th. 

The Avett Brothers

The Avett Brothers are a 7-piece band who play a unique blend of folk, bluegrass, punk, and rock music that has come to be known as American Roots Music, while the brothers themselves, are 2 brothers, Scott and Seth Avett, from Concord, NC. Some of their most famous songs include “I And Love And You”, “Ain’t No Man”, “Live and Die”, and “No Hard Feelings”.

The Brothers have been nominated for 3 Grammy Awards, including Best Americana Album, have had 5 Billboard Top 5 albums, and have won awards for Americana Music Awards for Duo/Group of the Year. The Avett Brothers also wrote and had a musical on Broadway in 2024 called “Swept Away”. 

The Mountain Goats

Friday night’s opening act for The Avett Brothers at Red Rocks Amphitheatre will be none other than The Mountain Goats. Known for their very narrative driven story songs, The Mountain Goats deliver a unique sound to the indie folk scene. With the lead singer and primary songwriter John Darnielle at the helm, The Mountain Goats bring a very raw and honest sound to the stage. 

Asleep At The Wheel

Saturday night, celebrate the roots of American Music with Asleep At The Wheel featuring Ray Benson and his talented band of musicians. The Grammy winning group has been performing Western Swing Jazz for over 40 years. With 10 Grammys under their belt, they are one of the best groups around to experience traditional American Music in a fun and lively atmosphere.

Graham Nash

Graham Nash closes out the opening acts of this residency on Sunday. He is a 2 time inductee to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, once with The Hollies and again with Crosby, Stills & Nash. In addition to those iconic groups, he has released a plethora of successful solo work, and fans can look forward to seeing many of his biggest hits live at Red Rocks.

Red Rocks Amphitheatre Information

The Red Rocks Amphitheatre located at 18300 W Alameda Pkwy, Morrison, CO 80465, a National Historic Landmark and one of the most famous outdoor music venues in the country. The venue’s natural acoustics are paired with the stunning natural backdrop of the two red sandstone formations.

The venue has 9,525 seats distributed over 70 rows of tiered seating, which include a General Admission floor as well as Reserved seating. There are 6 concession stands located on the Top Plaza, including hot dog, bratwurst, pretzel, nachos, pizza and draft beer stands. In addition, there are 2 full service bars as well as canned beer stands and premium wine stands. To enjoy a full concert experience before or after a show, there is the award-winning Burrito Stand as well as the Ship Rock Grille, a full service restaurant located at the base of Red Rocks Park. Parking Information

Red Rocks Amphitheatre offers several lots that will open 2 hours prior to the scheduled concert time. While admission to Red Rocks for the day is FREE and open to the public, parking fees will apply for events. Additional lots and street parking is available within the town of Morrison and surrounding areas.
