There’s nothing quite like Icelantic’s Winter on the Rocks — the only winter concert held at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and potentially one of the biggest outdoor winterized events that happens all throughout the world. Since it debuted here in 2012, this one-of-a-kind event has turned Colorado’s frozen bluffs into a stage for heat, hype, and history - all mixed in with some hot coco on the way of course. blending the thrill of live music with the magic of a snow-covered skyline. Over the years,we’ve seen many icons and innovators alike come to the stage: from Macklemore & Ryan Lewis to Atmosphere, JAUZ, Damian Marley, and Gramatik — each carving their name into the snow and making their mark on the crowd, always bundled up and with snow goggles of course. Now, in 2026, the torch passes to a new generation of genre-bending powerhouses as BigXThaPlug, Smino, and Mick Jenkins bring fire to the mountain on Saturday, February 7th. Our first all rap line up, Icelantic Rocks is a winter rite of passage for those who like to keep it cold - and where music, mountains, and madness collide beneath the stars. Bundle up, Colorado - we’re hitting the skis tonight (thank god).

BigXThaPlug is our maestro for the night and will be the headliner on the bill for the 2026 iteration of our snow palace paradise this February. Born in Dallas but adopted by the rap scene across the globe - BigX first got his start in 2019, but due to legal troubles and his lifestyle, ended up in jail in 2022. During that time he wrote his first project - and when it finally came out (Amar) in 2023, the album exploded on the scene. It’s lead single Texas went RIAA Gold, and the success followed. He quickly started his own label, got back on the Billboard's Hot 100 with more rap favorite tracks, and made him a GOATED newcomer in the rap game that all have respected and real barbershop rap heads have given head nods to. He’s HUGE here on the west coast too - so you know this one is gonna sell out, especially with Smino and Mick Jenkins holding up the pack in the back. And of course - that means you HAVE to be here too, dripped out in your fur and ready to rap every lyric to Big Persona.
