The Head and The Heart at Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Once given the title of Seattle's Best New Band, The Head & The Heart continues to give life to the indie folk scene with their authentic lyricism and Americana tunes. The band has been well-regarded by music fans for their exploration of the concepts of love, life, and introspection. They also know that the world is much bigger than just Virginia, so they’re bringing their earthy sound closer to their fans “to celebrate 15 years of our debut album”. The Head and The Heart are probably at their most vulnerable state right now. Not only have they released their newest studio album, Aperture, but it is also self-produced and is identifiably more experimental. Their previous albums, The Head and the Heart in 2010, Let's Be Still in 2013, Signs of Light in 2016, Living Mirage in 2019, and Every Shade of Blue in 2022, have all helped the band establish their image in the folk rock scene. Some of their songs, like Rivers and Roads, Down in the Valley, and Winter Song, have also made great impressions on the general public after being included in television series. As the band departs from their previous record label and gets together once again as a band, The Head and The Heart sees this performance as a fresh start with the old and new music they want to share.

Special guest indie folk band Wilderado hails from Tulsa, Oklahoma. The band’s origin story of being formed in college and the blending nature of their music have enabled them to reach a wide audience and even appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Their songs Surefire, Take Some Time, and Morning Light have also helped them amass millions of streams on Spotify, and now is the chance to hear them in person.
