Yup, you read that right, for one night only, The Colorado Symphony Orchestra performs a range of songs by the iconic composer and producer, Danny Elfman and his work on film scores for Tim Burton. Drawing from films that include Batman, Edward Scissorhands, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice, and more!
Along with the full Symphony Orchestra, and Chorus, Danny Elfman himself will make a guest appearance to perform some of the pieces in person. And... yes, even more... Violinist Sandy Cameron joins the orchestra for those all important, hauntingly beautiful solo scenes. The show will feature visuals of original film art projected onto a backdrop to accompany each piece.
Based right here in Denver, The Colorado Symphony is world renown for its absolutely incredible work in turning classical works into fresh, modern entertainment. They have a long history of doing classic film with Live orchestra backing and are no stranger to keeping their music perfectly in time. Plus, he also did the singing sections for Jack Skellington in, The Nightmare Before Christmas, so look out for some of these spectacular additions on the night.
