Colorado Symphony: Danny Elfman’s Music from the Films of Tim Burton, For One Night Only!

Yup, you read that right, for one night only, The Colorado Symphony Orchestra performs a range of songs by the iconic composer and producer, Danny Elfman and his work on film scores for Tim Burton. Drawing from films that include Batman, Edward Scissorhands, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice, and more! 

Along with the full Symphony Orchestra, and Chorus, Danny Elfman himself will make a guest appearance to perform some of the pieces in person. And... yes, even more... Violinist Sandy Cameron joins the orchestra for those all important, hauntingly beautiful solo scenes. The show will feature visuals of original film art projected onto a backdrop to accompany each piece.

Colorado Symphony

Based right here in Denver, The Colorado Symphony is world renown for its absolutely incredible work in turning classical works into fresh, modern entertainment. They have a long history of doing classic film with Live orchestra backing and are no stranger to keeping their music perfectly in time. The Symphony Chorus will be on stage along with the Orchestra providing their impeccable vocals to the night.

Danny Elfman

Both a Grammy and Emmy winner, with works described as "gothic", and "whimsical," Danny Elfman has a long history of working with Tim Burton, scoring almost all his films including, Batman (1989), Edward Scissorhands (1990), The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993), and, Beetlejuice (1988). Plus, he also did the singing sections for Jack Skellington in, The Nightmare Before Christmas, so look out for some of these spectacular additions on the night.

The open air venue carved near the top of Colorado's Red Rocks, is a world-famous venue, taking its name from the famous location, The Red Rocks Amphitheater has seen performances by all the most famous artists, old and new. And is a mecca for music enthusiasts all over the world.

Comfortably seating over 9000 fans within its naturally amplified setting, it also offers a grand, red sandstone faced setting and panoramic views of the Denver skyline for the ultimate experience under the stars.
